1. Project Overview

This proposal covers the design and development of a professional 6-page Author Website.
The goal of the site is to represent the author’s identity, showcase their books, build an online presence, and help readers easily connect.
The website will have a clean, modern layout with good readability, smooth navigation, and responsive design for mobile, tablet, and desktop.

2. Scope of Work (What’s Included)

Pages Included (6 Pages)

Home Page – Hero section, intro, latest book, highlights.
About the Author – Bio, journey, achievements.
Books / Publications – Book listings, descriptions, buy links.
Awards – Image, text content, links.
Gallery / Media – Photos, book launch images, events.
Contact Page – Contact form + social links.

Design & Features Included

  • Custom layout designed specifically for the author

  • Header + footer with navigation

  • Contact form setup

Design & Features Included

  • Website built on WordPress

  • Installation + setup of theme

  • Setup of required plugins (security, forms, speed)

  • Configuration of pages, menus, links

  • Secure site structure setup

  • Basic speed optimization

3. Content Requirements (From Client)

To complete the project smoothly, the following content is needed:

  • Author biography

  • High-resolution photos

  • Book cover images + book descriptions

  • Buy links (Amazon, Kindle, etc.)

  • Contact details

  • Social media usernames

  • Blog articles (if any)

  • Branding preferences (colors, style)

  • Any references or example sites

4. Timeline

Mock-up design will be provided based on which all the changes in the pages can be mentioned.

Estimated Completion: 7–10 working days

Breakdown:

  • Day 1–2: Layout design + homepage structure

  • Day 3–5: All pages creation

  • Day 6–8: Content placement + styling

  • Day 9–10: Revisions + final review + launch

5. Revisions

  • 2 rounds of revisions included in the package

  • Additional changes after delivery will be charged separately

6. Domain & Hosting [ Godaddy ]

The client must have:

  • Domain name (e.g., authorname.com) ( Maximum cost 1year $12‘ , renew every year)

  • Web hosting (server space where the website will live | Maximum cost 1year $70-80 , renew every year)

If the client doesn’t have these, they can be purchased separately.
Assistance can be provided for:

  • Domain purchase

  • Hosting setup

  • Connecting domain to hosting

  • Setting up webmail (yourname@domain.com)

Domain and hosting costs are separate and not included in the website price.

7. Pricing

Total cost for a 6-page Author Website: $1200 (one-time website development cost)

Annual website maintenance, if needed will be done by us, if required. ( Separate contract needed )

8. Payment Terms

  • 50% advance to start the project

  • 50% on completion, before final delivery / launch

  • Payments can be made via Bank transfer / UPI.

9. Post-Launch Support

After the site launches, you get:

  • 15 days free support (small fixes and questions)

  • Any guidance required can be provided.

10. Acceptance

If you agree to the proposal, please confirm by signing or replying with approval. Work will begin immediately after receiving the advance payment.
